The Santa Paula Unified School District offers Instrumental Music to all 4^th and 5^th graders at the six elementary sites.  As part of a comprehensive TK – 12^th grade music program, Instrumental Music is offered to 4^th graders in Beginner Band and continues for 5^th graders in elementary Advanced Band.  Weekly instruction is provided on flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and percussion.  Band students are expected to practice the instrument at home throughout the week.  Band students study the elements of music in the performance-based class. 

Concert performances are scheduled throughout the school year and include the annual All District Instrumental Music Concert held at Santa Paula High School in March. Select Elementary Advanced Band students are chosen to perform at this event and participate in special after school rehearsals from January to May.
