Frequently Asked Questions

Santa Paula Unified School District will accept Intradistrict Transfer Forms from March 2, 2026, through April 17, 2026.

Forms submitted after April 17, 2026, may not be considered until 14 days before the start of the 2026–2027 school year.

Please note that neighborhood (resident) students are given priority for school enrollment. Transfer requests are reviewed based on space availability and district guidelines.

Families will not be notified of the decision on their intradistrict transfer request until late June 2026.

We would like to inform you that only NEW families of Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten students enrolling in the Santa Paula Unified School District for the 2026–2027 school year need to attend the Round Up. Please see the dates and times in the flyer at the bottom of this message. 

Age Eligibility Requirements:

To register for Transitional Kindergarten (TK), students must have their 4th birthday on or before September 1, 2026. 
To register for Kindergarten, students must have their 5th birthday on or before September 1, 2026.

Documents Required (bring to the Round Up):

  • Proof of Student’s Age
    • Birth Certificate or Passport (must be original documents)
      (Religious, hospital, or physician’s certificate, or other documents permitted by law, are also acceptable.
  • Parent/Guardian Photo ID 
  • Proof of Residence (Two Required)
    • Current rental agreement and/or
    • Utility bill (electricity, telephone, or cable) showing parent/guardian’s name and address
      Cell phone bills and driver’s licenses are not accepted as proof of residence.
  • Oral Health Assessment Form and Immunizations
    • Required for Transitional Kindergarten (TK)Kindergarten, and First Grade (if not previously completed)
    • Proof of up-to-date immunization record
