SB 760 - All-Gender Restrooms

Senate Bill 760 amended the Education Code in September 2023, and it requires the provision of an all-gender restroom for pupil use at school sites that have more than one set of male and female restrooms that are designated exclusively for pupil use.  Thus, this provision is required at the following six schools:

- Santa Paula High School

- Isbell Middle School

- Barbara Webster Elementary School

- Blanchard Elementary School

- Glen City Elementary School

- Thelma Bedell Elementary School

Santa Paula Unified School District is currently procuring appropriate signage and hardware to put this change into effect.   Per Section 35292.5.(b) of the Education Code, compliance is required on or before July 1, 2026.  Once signage and hardware modifications are completed, then this page will be updated accordingly.

Per Section 32595.5.(b)(4) of the Education Code, information on the District's implementation and compliance with SB 760 shall be provided on its internet website.
