Bryden Gym Rebuild

RNT Architects was retained to lead SPUSD through the programming phase for the design of a new Bryden facility.  Programming efforts included public outreach (surveys and public meetings) and gathering input from all District stakeholders, including students, site staff, coaches, and District personnel.  Efforts also included evaluating opportunities and constraints related to the site, adjoining properties, and the pool. 

Ultimately, RNT Architects was selected to carry out this project's design.  The project is now in the "agency approval" phase, and plans were submitted to DSA (Division of the State Architect) on February 4, 2026 and subsequently resubmitted back to DSA on July 31, 2026.  The District hopes to obtain DSA approval possibly by the end of 2026.

Concurrently, the District retained a general contractor in June 2025 to assist with preconstruction services during project design, such as constructability, cost estimating, and value engineering.
