Covid-19 Information

September 23, 2024

Dear SPUSD Family,

On July 11, 2024 the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released Public Health Guidance for TK-12 Schools and Child Care Settings to Support Safe In-Person Services and Mitigate the Spread of Communicable Diseases, 2024-2025 School Year.

The Ventura County Department of Public Health has aligned their definition of outbreak and protocols to those of the state. Isolation for COVID positive individuals, while no longer required, is recommended to keep our students and employees safe.

The Santa Paula Unified School District has adjusted our COVID protocols to the state's guidelines and will continue to notify staff of COVID-19 Cases per CalOSHA requirements.

It is recommended to test right away if you feel sick and have symptoms of COVID-19, if it has been 3-5 days after last exposure, before visiting those who are high risk, and while traveling.

SPUSD considers the safety of our students and staff our highest priority. As always, thank you for your continued support.

Respectfully,
Jeffrey Weinstein, Superintendent
